How it helpsSupport & Emergency Essentials:
- Someone to speak to
- Basic needs: food, fuel, clothing, toiletries & housing
- Support with loss of financial entitlements
- Safe space for those fleeing violence & abuse
- Phone & computer access
- Shower & laundry facilities (by appointment)
- SIM & mobile data support
- Household items
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- Overcoming isolation and emotional challenges
- Accessing health support
- Referrals to other agencies
Support can be provided by a variety of methods including:
- 1 to 1 appointments
- Drop in
- Referral to additional services and inclusion groups

Supports reintegration through social inclusion, life skills, and family reconnection

Who it’s forReferrals are made through Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership and Social Work within three strands of support needs:
- Adults needing support to live independently
- People with mental health needs or requiring home care
- People affected by alcohol and substance related harm
How it helpsWe deliver practical and emotional support to identify and agree achievable and aspirational goals and care plans tailored to individual needs. This includes:
Care at Home
- Home visits to provide personal care
- Support with taking medicines
- Meal planning and preparation
- Hygiene support
- Housekeeping support
- Supporting access to other services
Independence Support
Practical and emotional support to:
- Enable individuals to maintain their tenancy within their local community
- Develop living and self-care skills
- Increase employability
- Accompaniment and advocacy
Residential and Respite supported living
- Trusted support based on respect, acceptance and personal value
- Improve vulnerable people’s situation encouraging voluntary engagement.
- Key workers who support, monitor and review individual action plans
- Enabling physical and mental health recovery
- Building independence and community connection
- Respite breaks to relieve pressures and stress and continue recovery.
- One to one and group activities to reduce isolation
- Alcohol and risk management planning
Support for independent living can be provided by a variety of methods including:
- At home care
- In the community
- Long and short term residential accommodation
- Respite accommodation
